Do I have to be Jewish to study Kabbalah?
In Rav Berg's school, no. He taught Kabbalah as universal wisdom open to anyone of any background, and many students keep their own faith. Many traditional Jewish teachers disagree and see Kabbalah as inseparable from Jewish life and observance; both views are worth knowing.
Isn't Kabbalah only for married men over 40?
That well-known restriction reflects a traditional caution about studying mystical texts without a solid grounding in Torah and life experience. Rav Berg's teacher lineage argued that the modern era calls for opening the wisdom to everyone, and that is the approach this site follows.
Is Kabbalah a religion?
Rav Berg presented it as a spiritual technology rather than a religion – tools and laws you can apply alongside any belief. Historically, it is the mystical tradition of Judaism.
